The ECMS Superhero 5K Run/Walk

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the ECMS Superhero 5K Race/Walk (the “Event”), I, the undersigned participant, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby acknowledge, understand, and agree to the following: Assumption of Risk I acknowledge that participating in a road race involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, effects of weather, traffic, and conditions of the course. I voluntarily assume all risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the event organizers, sponsors, or volunteers. Release and Waiver I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive, release, and discharge East Cobb Middle School, Cobb County School District, event sponsors, volunteers, and all other associated parties from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, actions, or causes of action arising from my participation in the Event. Medical Authorization I consent to receive medical treatment in the event of injury, accident, or illness during my participation. I understand that this release extends to any medical treatment rendered and that I am solely responsible for any costs incurred. Rules and Safety I agree to abide by all event rules and instructions given by organizers, volunteers, or officials. I understand that bicycles, skateboards, roller skates, rollerblades, and animals (except service animals) are not permitted on the racecourse for safety reasons. Photography and Media Release I grant permission to event organizers and sponsors to use my name, likeness, voice, and/or image in photographs, video recordings, or other media in connection with the Event for legitimate promotional purposes, without compensation. Minor Participants If the participant is under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must sign below, acknowledging acceptance of the terms of this waiver on behalf of the minor.Enter waiver text here.
